Mannex Motsi & Mofamilee to Rock The Grub

By Taona Mafundikwa

The fast-growing dining, watering hole, and creative arts space, The Grub, will this Friday (July 18) host a much-anticipated reggae show featuring the red-hot Mannex Motsi, backed by the superb Mofamilee Band.

The show is special because it is happening during the month of July, which coincidentally is Mannex’s birthday month.

“We are thrilled to be hosting Mannex and his crew as we want to celebrate his birthday with him. Mannex is not an ordinary type of artist; he is among the best we have in this country, and having him perform at our venue is very special, especially considering that we will be celebrating his birthday together,” said Ras Mathias Bangure, the Projects & Events Manager of Tamari Resorts & The Grub Restaurants.

The Grub Restaurant is quickly becoming the venue of choice for mature and urbane clients, as it not only hosts talented artists but also serves an assortment of delicious meals that have become very popular with its patrons.

Mannex is excited to entertain his fans at The Grub this Friday (July 18) and urges them to come and enjoy the good vibes he will be dishing out.

“I am happy to be performing at The Grub this Friday. Although this is not my first time performing there, I always find it to be a venue of choice, especially for a mature and appreciative audience. I can assure those who come to the gig of nothing but a memorable time. I urge people to come early so they won’t miss the good vibes.”

The Grub has made some amazing renovations to their entertainment area, and according to Mathias Bangure, this is to ensure that their clients will not suffer from the unfriendly weather that has been affecting the country lately. “Forget about the cold weather; we have ensured that the venue will be warm enough to allow our clients to celebrate unhindered by the chill. We value our clients, and they always come first in whatever we do as an institution,” said Ras Bangure.

The Grub, which will soon be turning a year old, is proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the food and entertainment industry. They have set very high standards in their service delivery and are quickly becoming the place of choice.

Some of the artists who have performed at The Grub since its inception include Diana Samkange, Kurai Makore, Selmor Mutukudzi, Mannex Motsi, Mike Inity, and Jabavu Drive, to name a few.

This Friday is also special as there will be an after-party for the returning participants of the Osaka 2025 expo that was recently held in Japan. Sarah Dee, one of the participants at the expo, is excited to be back home and had this to say: “It’s always an honor to represent your country in any capacity, and I will be partying with my fellow expo participants at The Grub. I am happy to be among those vibing to the beautiful reggae tunes that Mannex will be belting out this Friday.”

It will be great to see both old and new faces coming to the gig for a special reggae party at the venue of choice, The Grub.

The Grub, which is located along the southern side of Glenara in Eastlea, has always been a favorite place for revellers as it has become the home of entertainment.
