MAKONDE – Mashonaland West ZANU-PF Provincial Chairman, Mary Mliswa, has called on the electorate in Alaska to rally behind Bizwork Solomon, the party’s youthful candidate vying for the Ward 14 council seat in the upcoming by-election.
Addressing a high-energy crowd at a well-attended rally in Alaska Mine, Makonde District, Mliswa praised Solomon as a people-centered leader with a clear vision for development. She urged residents to give him the mandate to drive progress in the ward, describing him as “a son of the soil who understands the needs of his community.”
In a heartfelt gesture that resonated with the crowd, Mliswa addressed attendees in their local language, Nyanja, drawing loud cheers and enthusiastic support from the audience.
“Bizwork is not just a candidate, he is one of you – and he is ready to serve,” she said.
The rally, held ahead of the by-election scheduled for this Saturday, August 2, showcased strong grassroots support for Solomon, who has consistently drawn large turnouts throughout his campaign trail. His growing popularity has positioned him as a front-runner in the race to fill the vacant Ward 14 seat.
The event was also attended by high-profile party officials, including the Mashonaland West Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Marian Chombo, who served as the guest speaker. Several ZANU-PF affiliates lent their support, adding to the momentum behind Solomon’s campaign.
