This tiny drone, designed by the National University of Defence Technology (NUDT) in Hunan province, boasts a stick-shaped body, two leaf-like flapping wings, and three hair-thin legs, rendering it nearly undetectable. Measuring approximately 0.5 inches (1.3 centimeters) long, this microdrone is a significant breakthrough in miniaturizing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The primary purpose of this microdrone is for covert military operations, such as reconnaissance and surveillance. Its small size and bionic design, inspired by mosquitoes, enable it to fly undetected, making it an ideal tool for gathering intelligence in enemy territory.
